Nominations for the Gerald Foree Award

At the 2008 OSC Readiness Training Program, Shane Hitchcock presented the first Gerald Foree Award to Gerald's parents. It was a moving tribute to someone who exemplified enjoyment of life, family, and being part of the EPA family. The OSC Readiness Task Force would like to continue recognizing OSCs who exhibit the same characteristics that made Gerald so memorable.

If you know of an OSC you would like to nominate for this Award please provide a write up, based on the criteria in nomination document, before December 15, 2008, to Roberta Runge, EPA Office of Emergency Management (OEM), at runge.roberta@epa.gov

Nominations should be made by OSCs or Removal Managers. Nominations will be compiled and provided to the OSC Task Force for a final decision on the award recipient. The award will be presented at the 2009 OSC Readiness Training Program during the Monday morning opening plenary session. The recipient will receive a plaque to commemorate the occasion and a plaque also will be displayed with the list of all award recipients in the Headquarters Emergency Operations Center.
