Agenda
17th Annual NARPM Training Conference
Baltimore, Maryland
Monday, May 21 and Thursday, May 24, 2007

Monday, May 21, 2007
10:15 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

  1. Norm Niedergang visit tentatively scheduled for Monday
  2. Discussion of Formulation of EF Workgroups (30 minutes) (M. Gill)
    • Concept, what groups to form, reporting, etc.
  3. Oxygenates Paper (45 minutes) (All)
    • Dave Reisman has said he will help with publication, but it needs some updating. It's our responsibility to get him a manuscript. There are existing comments which Gill will bring. Let's discuss this and see how far we can move forward. We'll select a workgroup leader and we can talk about the existing comments as well.
    • PLEASE BRING A COPY OF THE PAPER WITH YOU FOR DISCUSSION.

  4. Future Goals (15 minutes) (All)
    • Potential EF goals/accomplishments for the coming year (Spring 07 to Spring 08), including Las Vegas TSP meeting and NARPM 08 agendas. Workgroups?
  5. EF/ORD Project (15 minutes) (Gill)
    • Possible collaboration with ORD on "Technology Performance" project. This seems like it may be similar to our "Lessons Learned" Evergreen item. Here it is, as taken from the Evergreen List:
    • Steve Kinser (R7), Jim Brown (R1), Sandra Bourgeois (R8) - February 2007 Re-working of previous lessons learned ideas. Current version is to gather lessons learned about a given remedial technology from a variety of sources (clu-in.org, frtr.gov, 5YR Reviews, optimizations, removals, etc.) and synthesize them into a single document on the order of 10 pages. Initial "trial-run" to be done using In-Situ Chemical Oxidation (ISCO) as the technology.

Perhaps we can collaborate with ORD. Click here to download a proposal recently put forth by one of the STLs (Felicia Barnett, Region 4) to start this project.

(Let's try to get this far by the end of Monday's session and pick up where we leave off on Thursday afternoon.)
